How does the EV charging price comparison work?

cenometrs.lv collects the prices of Latvia's public charging networks — e-mobi, Ignitis ON, Virši and Elektrum — and shows them in one table by charging type: AC, DC and HPC. Prices are per kWh without subscription discounts, and a green marker highlights the cheapest network for each charging type. Below the table there's a map of every station with network, plug and power filters, plus price history and trends.

What do AC, DC and HPC mean?

AC is alternating-current charging — the slowest kind, typically 11–43 kW, suited to longer stops. DC is direct-current fast charging up to 150 kW, and HPC (High Power Charging) is DC charging at 150 kW and above — the fastest option on longer trips. Operators publish their prices at exactly these levels, so each is its own column in the table; next to each price you also see that network's real power range.

Why is e-mobi's price shown per minute (€/min)?

At e-mobi's public stations you pay per minute of charging rather than per unit of energy. A per-minute price can't be fairly compared with €/kWh prices — the cost per kilowatt-hour depends on how fast your particular car happens to charge at that moment. So e-mobi's price is shown with a “/min” note but is never ranked as cheapest or most expensive.

Why does Elektrum have a "varies by station" note?

Elektrum is the only compared network whose price genuinely differs between stations — the other operators charge one uniform network price. The table shows Elektrum's most typical (most common) price for each charging type, and the note reminds you it may differ slightly at a specific station.

Where do the charging prices come from and how often do they update?

Prices are read automatically from the operators' public data (websites and public station lists) once a day — charging tariffs change rarely, usually a few times a year. The prices shown are public prices without subscription or loyalty discounts; the final price is always shown in the operator's app before you start charging.

Where is the cheapest EV charging in Latvia today?

In the table, the green marker highlights the cheapest network for each charging type — AC, DC and HPC — among the operators you've selected. The price history table additionally shows each network's average, minimum and maximum over your chosen period, so you can see which network is cheapest over the long run, not just today.

How do I find a station that fits my car?

Use the filters at the top of the page: pick your car's plug (Type 2, CCS or CHAdeMO) and the minimum power you need, and the station map will show only matching locations. The "Find nearest to me" button sorts stations by distance, with the price and a directions link. Your selection is remembered for next time.
